Benzodiazepine Addiction Treatment
Coming off benzodiazepines is not something anyone should attempt alone, and we say that from a place of care, not caution. At Goldwell Institute, we support you through safe medical detox, structured therapy, and long-term aftercare, using evidence-based treatment that steadies each step forward.
How Goldwell Institute Treats Benzodiazepine Addiction
Coming off benzodiazepines is not like quitting most other substances, and people who have tried on their own already know that. The medication that once calmed anxiety or steadied sleep can, over time, make both harder to manage. We start with a clinical assessment that tells us the right level of care for you, because benzodiazepine withdrawal can be unpredictable and sometimes dangerous when rushed.
When the assessment calls for it, we begin with medically supervised detox and a careful, gradual taper. From there, some people move into residential treatment while others do well in an intensive outpatient program. If anxiety, panic, or another mental health condition is part of the picture, we treat it alongside the addiction, together, in the same plan.
Therapies We Use
No two people arrive with the same story, so we build each plan around what you actually need. That often means combining proven approaches: cognitive behavioral therapy to reshape old patterns, group therapy for shared accountability, and family support to rebuild trust at home. When it fits clinically, we add medication-assisted treatment. We adjust as you grow.
